Connecting your banks

To connect your banks, please enter the same details you normally use for online banking. For help connecting, below are some short guides.

Barclays+

Barclays can be a bit tricky at first as there are a few different ways to log in: with the Pin Sentry or with your passcode and memorable word.

To avoid having to enter your pin sentry each time, Pariti supports the passcode and memorable word route

  • Your passcode is 5 digits long as was provided when you set up online banking
  • Your memorable word was chosen by you and is 6-8 characters long, containing only letters

If you can't remember these or haven't set them up, please contact Barclays directly.

Barclaycard+

To connect Barclaycard, you need the same username, ID number and passcode you setup for online banking:

  • Your username is 8-16 characters long, contains number and letters
  • Your ID number is a 9 digit number
  • Your passcode is a 6 digit number

If you can't remember any of these details, you can reset them on the Barclaycard website.

First Direct+

First Direct can be a little tricky at first as you need to login without your secure key.  To do this, you need to use the following details:

  • Username: 5-76 characters long, contains letters and numbers
  • Memorable answer: 6-36 characters, chosen by you for online banking. Unfortunately Pariti does not provide the memorable question itself. If you can’t remember what the memorable question is, please check your online banking.
  • Electronic Password: 8-30 characters, contains letters and numbers.  This is not the generated Digital Secure Key code.

If you can't remember any of these details, please contact First Direct directly to reset them.

Halifax+

To connect your Halifax account, you need the username, password and memorable information you set up for online banking.

  • Your username is the first field on online banking. This is 9-30 characters long, containing letters and numbers
  • Your password is the second field on the first page of online banking. It is 6-20 characters long, containing at least 3 letters and 1 number
  • Your memorable information is on the second page of online banking. You normally enter just 3 characters, but Pariti requires the full info. it is 6-15 characters long, containing at least 3 letters and 1 number

If you can't remember any of these details, you can reset them on the Halifax website.

HSBC+

To connect your account, you need to login with the details you use for online banking via the ‘Without Secure Key’ route. Here are some tips to help you get connected:

  1. Enter your username

Enter your 12-digit IB number or a personalised name chosen by you. This is the first field you enter on online banking.

  2. Enter your memorable information

Enter the answer to the memorable question you chose when you set up online banking. You’re normally asked this on the second page of online banking, when you have selected the ‘Without Secure Key’ option.

Unfortunately Pariti does not provide the memorable question itself. If you can’t remember what the memorable question is, please check your online banking.

  3. Enter your full password

After 30 seconds, the final login question will load your password. This is typically 8 - 30 characters long, containing letters and numbers.

This is normally the final field for the ‘Without Secure Key route on online banking. Please note, Pariti needs your full password to login, unlike online banking, which usually only asks for three characters.

Lloyds Bank+

To connect your Lloyds account, you need the username, password and memorable information you set up for online banking.

If you can't remember any of these details, you can reset them on the Lloyds website.

Metro Bank+

To connect your Metro account, you need the customer number, password and security number you set up for online banking.

  • Your customer number is a 12 digit number
  • Your password is 7 characters long, containing letters and numbers
  • Your security number is an 8 digit number.  You normally just enter 3 digits from this on the Metro site, but for Pariti to connect automatically you need to provide all of them.

If you can't remember any of these details, we'd suggest visiting the Metro Bank website and resetting them there.

  • Your customer number is your date of birth (ddmmyyyy), followed by a 4 digit number
  • Your pin is a 4 digit number
  • Your password is 6-20 characters long, containing letters and numbers

Also, please make sure that you don't login to NatWest and Pariti within the same 30 minute window.  NatWest doesn't allow this and the connection to Pariti will fail.

To connect your Nationwide account , you need to use exactly the same info as used for online banking: Customer Number, Passnumber and Memorable Information.

  • Your Customer Number is a 10 digit number sent to you by Nationwide
  • Your Passcode is a 6 digit number sent to you by Nationwide
  • Your Memorable Information can be any one of the three pieces of information you set up.  These are 1-100 characters, containing letters and numbers

If you can't remember any of these details, you can reset them on the Nationwide website.

  • Your customer number is your date of birth (ddmmyyyy), followed by a 4 digit number
  • Your pin is a 4 digit number
  • Your password is 6-20 characters long, containing letters and numbers

Also, please make sure that you don't login to RBS and Pariti within the same 30 minute window.  RBS doesn't allow this and the connection to Pariti will fail.

Santander+

To connect your Santander account, you need to follow the following steps:

  • Enter your Personal/Customer ID whcih you normally enter on the first page on online banking
  • Pariti will then start the connection to Santander
  • You will then be asked for one of your three memorable questions (which you set up when you registered for online banking)
  • And finally, a third screen should appear after a few moments asking for Password/Passcode and Security/Registration number.  These are normally entered on the second screen on online banking
  • Your Password/Passcode is a mixture of letters and characters and can be up to 20 characters long
  • Your Security/Registration number is 5 digits only

For the first 2-3 times that you use Pariti, Santander may ask you for the memorable questions again when your refresh... this is normal until the system has remembered them all.  After then, it should connect automatically!
