Upon submitting a loan quote application, our Lending Partners will conduct a soft credit search on your behalf. This will not affect your credit rating, but will leave a 'soft footprint' which is only visible to you.
Our Lending Partner may search the Electoral Roll and other information held about your current and previous addresses as part of this soft credit search.
Your information will be shared with credit reference agencies, which may keep a record of such information.
Please note, the results of the soft credit search do not guarantee you will be eligible for the Third Party Product.
If you receive a loan quote from our Lending Partners, and you decide to proceed with your loan application, our Lending Partners will then carry out a full credit search with one of the credit reference agencies and will make a credit assessment. The credit reference agencies will record details of the credit search, whether the application is successful or not, and may disclose that information to their other customers for the purpose of preventing fraud, tracing debtors or assessing the risk of giving credit.
